makes me wonder why every festival is lowkey a nightmare for women- if it's diwali, then cook and clean for so many days together, if its holi then you are responsible for your safety and "boys will be boys"......i have nothing against these festivals at all but somehow women get affected
every festival is festival for men, work for women and no one can change my mind about it. but I am also glad that people are slowly changing the gender roles to neutral. about holi, i really wish someday it's safe for women to actually enjoy the festival instead of making sure they aren't harrassed. thank you so much for taking your time to read and comment, appreciate it!
I was hoping someone would write on this topic, and I am glad my note motivated you to write this. I was myself going to rant today but this is a lot better than anything I would be able to articulate.
Its sad how the festival has evolved into a culture of molesting and harassing women, and as you said this festival has become "fun" for a single gender.
you're my biggest hype man and inspiration for writing, it's really sad that it has come to this where a culture normalizes harrasment in name of fun. appreciate you for always reading whatever I write and expressing your thoughts on it. love ya chodya 🫂

It is very much highlighting the instinct I had when I was told don't go on roads men are roaming drunk and it's not safe.
All of us cousins (females) celebrated it inside the boundaries.
that's the sad reality. thankyou for reading my love 🫂
